What We’re Reading: A Magical Night for Social Media in Higher Ed

If you missed it last week, the University of Florida put on a fantastic display of how institutions can utilize social media.  They created a tremendous amount of buzz by giving the admissions process a living, breathing personality. They used a hashtag (#UF17) to interact and engage with all of the new students that were admitted that day.  So students that had just recieved the good news now had a place to ask questions, discuss, and celebrate with the university. I love the forward thinking.  It was a well thought out, and perfectly executed plan that the University put together.  But probably the most impressive part of it all was the collaboration from all of the different departments in the school.
